Project Scope

A one-of-a-kind brand, scalable packaging design, & impactful product photography

Impact

TipsyTabs are cocktail-flavored tabs that mimic the effects of alcohol using a blend of hemp-derived THC. The tabs are an alternative to drinking when you go out, with zero sugar, zero calories, and zero hangover.

They needed a logo, brand identity, packaging, and product photography, and they needed it all fast. Within a couple of weeks, we had their packaging ready to print and a logo to engrave into the tabs. Customers loved the wavy design on the pouch bags and the product photos helped communicate the brand’s messaging just as they hoped.

Brand Development Overview

The question was how to make something feel tipsy but not over-the-top tipsy. We knew we wanted a mark that felt unique and recognizable - but just as importantly - one that could be used across a wide range of sizes. The tabs themselves are small, and the T needed to be read at small scale.

We developed a simple and identifiable ‘wave’ to the top portion of the T that encapsulated just the right amount of tipsiness. It is able to stand alone as an impression in the tabs and used as the wordmark for Tipsy.

03. Final Logo + Packaging Design

The wavy T that was developed in the first round of sketching ended up being used as the final, with some minor adjustments. We felt it best conveyed the feeling of the tabs, and looked just like a tab itself when encircled. The yellow wavy lines contribute to the tipsy feeling our client was hoping to convey without being too literal or over the top.

We also designed a display box for storefronts to hold the individual packages. The front and back tab of the display included information that a customer could quickly read and incorporated the brand elements to create a cohesive image.
